Bathroom Renovations
Hermosa Beach bathroom remodels from the Strand to the Hill Section. Plumbing, waterproofing, and city permits handled by one team.
Local Experience
Salt air, humidity, and small lots shape every bathroom project in Hermosa Beach. Shared wet walls, short plumbing runs, and limited ventilation are common here. We plan for that from day one with proper waterproofing behind the tile, exhaust fans sized for the room, and fixtures that hold up to coastal air.

Hermosa Beach requires a permit for any plumbing, electrical, or mechanical change, which covers most bathroom remodels. The Building and Safety Division at 1315 Valley Drive reviews them, and simple non-structural work can often be approved over the counter. Unpermitted work can bring higher fees and trouble at resale.
We prepare and file the permit, schedule inspections, and build to the California codes in effect when your application is complete. Work in the Coastal Zone may also need a Coastal Development Permit or an exemption, and we check that before design is final.
/ 02
Many older Hermosa Beach homes, including cottages in the Sand Section and units near the Strand, have compact bathrooms. Swapping a tub for a curbless walk-in shower, using wall-hung or recessed storage, and choosing large-format tile can open the room up without moving walls.
/ 03
Homes on the Hill Section and Valley side often have room for a full primary suite. We plan dual vanities, a larger shower with real drainage, and a freestanding tub where the floor structure allows. Many Hermosa homes have wood-framed floors, so we confirm the framing before specifying heavy tubs or stone.
